Thinking Pink!

In light of Valentine's day, I decided to make the below 3 cards. I have been going through a LOT of sketches by other cardmakers recently to help kickstart my creativity. It's been a rough week blogwise, since early this week my beloved Mac computer died. I'm trying to save it from being completely "bricked", but in the meantime, I'm trying to deal with my PC laptop and my external harddrive that has most (but not all) of my files saved on it. It's been a rough week figuring out what was lost, what was saved, and what I can make do with. So I apologize I didn't post these sooner. I had to re-photograph them, since the original photos were lost in my computer's sudden death. But before that I was looking at old sketches from other cardmakers to help jumpstart my creativity, hence these 3 creations.

Anyways, these are all loosely based on cards made by K. Werner, but with my own look, feel and style added to them. I hope in a day or so I can show you some scrapbook pages I did also. Not my absolute best ones, but it's been one of those weeks where my creativity has been lacking. Maybe because I've been so swamped with things at work, that when I come home I am too tired to do much of anything than sit and watch Netflix or Hulu streamed tv shows. (lol....so basically I've just been a lazy bum all week. haha!) It's no excuse, but sometimes you just need a break. Ok, enough complaining from my end, here are my 3 pink cards!

(I used these cute Thickers from a SCS Secret Sister swap. The adorable strawberry is Martha Stewart. I got them on sale a LONG time ago, and I just thought it was be adorable for this!)

(I adored the original card that KWerner put together, so I decided to make my own version- colors, addition of flowers, buttons, thickers, etc.)

(When I saw this adorable cupcake on a "embelishment" set I knew I HAD to use it. So cute! The smooches is a rub-on, however it didn't all transfer properly, hence the "cover up" of pearls. lol)
Has everyone finished their V-day cards yet? I think this year, I'm only really going to send V-day cards to a few people. I don't have the time or money for postage, to send to as many people I sent the Christmas cards too. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed these. What's your fav?
Later alligators! :)

Baby dear, welcome!

So for this Friday's card showcase of mine, I'm showing off a card I made for a co-worker of mine. His daughter is due to have his grandson any day now, so he wanted a card to give to her when the baby comes. I made their baby shower card earlier, and everyone in the family enjoyed it so much, he wanted to get more business out of me. (fine with me! I love custom orders...the pose real challenges in papercrafting).
Anyways, originally I just had the "baby dear" but the bottom corner looked like it was missing something to me, so I decided to add the "welcome". Also, originally I just stamped the sentiment in blue ink, then realized I wanted more of an embossed look, so I went to emboss clear embossing over top, but I was too lazy to restamp it all over. I liked how the "slightly off" look of the embossing gives it more of a shadow effect than over top the color. These popup (the duck and butterfly) were part of a baby looking animal popup sticker set, that I just adored. I immediately thought of them when thinking up the card. I also HAD to include the fuzzy felty ribbon in the card, since baby cards just feel like they need to be fuzzy. hehe
Anyways, enjoy this baby-filled Friday. :)

I am quite proud of how this card came together. I had a general sketch idea for it, but the rest of it just sorta fell into place. I love when that happens, don't you? Anyways, have a wonderful Friday and awesome weekend!

My love... Ice Cream

So this little mini card I made to especially hold a gift card. I think I might give it to my hubs, but *shhh* don't tell him about it. I was organizing my random punchouts, and came across these ADORABLE ice cream cones by K & Co. I loved them so much that I had to make a card using it. This card is so tiny, it can fit in the palm of your hand. So I think I'm gonna put a gift card to our favorite ice cream place down the street in it as a Valentine's day gift (well, one of them). :)
It's so tiny, but so cute I think!

So yummy looking! hehe
Anyways, have a good Thursday!

Back to school hubby

So my hubby is officially starting school today. He decided to go to college to become an elementary school teacher after working pretty much while in high school through now. I think I'm more excited than him, but anyways he starts part-time today with two online classes. The time he was unemployed last year made him realize that he really wanted to get a better education to get him a better job...and maybe become a teacher, and someday get a job he enjoys being a teacher.
Anyways, I thought it would be cute to make him a "back to school" and "congrats" type card.
Here it is...for his back to school with online classes type card. hehe.

Since he is taking online classes to start, I used this cute computer popup for the card. :) I also used a new stamp I got from my Secret Sister with a Twist #3 on a Splitcoast stampers swap. It is kinda a quirky card, but I think it serves its purpose. I used a wave on the right of the main image because he will be "surfing the web"....get it? haha. I know, I'm lame. Anyways, have a great Wednesday!

Valentine's day hugs

So I am finally getting around to making thank you cards for family members who gave me Christmas gifts. So I decided to make them early Valentine's day cards besides thank you cards. Here are two of the cards I made. (the others I just so happened to have a few thank you cards and valentine's day cards left over from when I made them for something else, that I only had to make 2 cards!). So without futher ado, here are the Vday/Thank you cards. :)
(Monkey hugs!)

(I love this vday felty! so cute! it worked perfect as the "flower" the monkey was holding)

(I had an extra colored image I made originally for my card club, and made it into this card. The hearts are from the $1 bin at Target. Gosh I love saving money on supplies. )

(sparkles!)

So there you have it. Stay tuned later in the week for some more card fun! :)

Love for my card love...

Sorry my blogging buddies...the start of the new year basically threw me for a loop. I've been trying to deal with a new work schedule, a hubby that has been super sick, both of us having major dental work done, and all in all...lots of stuff happening. I know I know...that is no excuse. But sometimes life just gets in the way of your creativity.
Anyways, with the new year, started new adventures in papercrafting. I officially opened my new digital image store this month and am working to improve and expand it. Frenzified.com is alive and kicking and I hope to get my kick of the advertising as I progress with the store. I'm currently working on new sets, more gallery pics, and new items besides digital images...I hope to make .svg files that you can use with the SureCutsALot software and your Cricut, but I have to try it out for myself, that they work. :)
Also, I got involved in a card club at the start of the new year with 10 other ladies online. A bunch of us ladies who do a lot of online swaps through Splitcoast stampers got together to do a monthly card swap amongst ourselves where we know none of us will flake on each other. Its started out great thus far and I am excited to continue on the rest of the year. Below is the first card I made for the card club. This month's theme is valentine's day; red and pink; and lots of bling.
I used a Brentwood Owl stamp by Jessica Lynn Originals, and her Owl sentiment too. I was so happy I finally got to use this stamp. I got it a while back, and I've been waiting to use it for the right card idea, and here it is. :)

(and this is my messy table after crafting. hehe)

(Sparkles baby!)

("Owl do I love the...")

(mass production of cards...which I hate doing, but it isn't too bad once you get the overall idea and get in the groove of making them...hehe.)

I'll be posting a few more Valentine's day cards I made for some family members of mine tomorrow. Well, technically I'm posting them today, but what would the fun be if you saw them all in one day.hehe
Anyways, have a great day!
Hugs my blogging buddies. I hope you enjoyed this card. :)

What a week...

This week has been crazy, with back to working "normal" hours, the hubby being sick, dentists appointments, dealing with insurance companies, and lot of other junk. I apologize my bloggin buddies that I haven't been on much. I hope to post a new card soon, and some project using my Frenzified images!
If you haven't yet, check out Frenzified! It is a digital image site I have recently decided to start. I hope to develop more images and categories, but I need your help in deciding what next to make! Let me know what categories you would love to see or themes that you always have trouble finding images for. I want to create things that other would love to use!
Anyways, this was just a quick post to let you know I'm still alive. ;)
I hope to try out my new camera my in-laws got me for an early b-day present with the upcoming project. Yay!
So, make sure you check out Frenzified!
And now I will leave you with a few pictures from the holidays. :)

(me and my nephew Jayden. He was my arm candy for Christmas Eve...lol)

(Since the hubby start his new job, he's been drinking coffee, so his parents got him one for his own, with a timer too!)

(This is what happens when everyone want to try this new wine we brought, but there was no wine bottle opener to be found. Just use a screw, a screwdriver, and a hammer. Tada!)

(So my other nephew, Justice, loves phones for some reason. For Christmas he got his own walkie talkie phones, and all night was walking around with them babbling along. hehe)

(Lastly I'll leave you with a picture of our kitty, C.J. He was just made pretty for Christmas with a good brushing, so he's all "glowy" as the hubs likes to say.)
So, my bloging buddies, let me know what themes you would like to see me make for Frenzified. Let me know either here, or on the Frenzified site's blog!
Stay tuned all! Hugs.

Frenzified: A new adventure

I'm sorry I've been MIA for a while my blogging buddies, but I've been working on a super secret project of mine. Today is the day that I open it to the public, and of course all of you!
You see...I have started my own digital image site, which people (or ya'll if you're interested) can purchase/download the digital images and use in all your papercrafting goodies.
I know there are plenty of hybrid papercrafters out there, like myself and my mother, so after a lot of debating, I gave it a go. I have been toying with the idea for a couple of years now...since my maid of honor and I made images of Black and White animals for my wedding table cards.
All the images are designed/drawn by me. I plan to put up more sets as time passes, but right now there is 2 sets for sale (which you can buy the whole sets, or individual pieces of the sets).

You can check out my new site, Frenzified, here at its new site: http://frenzified.com/

I am super excited about this venture, and I REALLY hope you all are interested in it too. Right now i'm offering a $1 coupon code for your purchase, so just enter

FRENZIFIEDFREEBIE

in the coupon code spot of your shopping cart when you are set to checkout. The coupon is good till January 25th, so don't delay!

Another fun thing, I created for the site is this cute "spokesbird" as I like to call him, Love Bird, who will show up on a lot of the Frenzified items.

He is a little creation I have been drawing for MANY years, like since high school I believe. hehe. I thought I'd bring him to life as the mascot of the store. :)

Anyways, check it all out, even if you don't purchase anything. Please let me know what you think, enter the poll, join my newsletter mailing list, or just keep connected with my new store on Facebook or Twitter. Help me spread the word and get this store rolling!

Thanks my blogging buddies!!
